Stine Eckert earned her M.S. in journalism in 2009 from Ohio University after studying broadcast journalism and American studies at Leipzig University, Germany. She was a reporter and producer for a Leipzig radio station and the San Francisco station Radio Goethe. She was also an editor for Message, and a co-publisher and editor for Twin Peaks – A Newsletter for American Studies. While in Ohio, she worked as reporter, producer, and anchor for the university’s public station. During 2009 she covered women in Bangladesh as a student fellow at the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting, and produced interviews for Al Jazeera English. Her research interests include international journalism, foreign correspondence, and media systems.
